Breanna Lewis (the 23rd pick in 2017 WNBA Draft) has made it through training camp with the WNBA's Dallas Wings to become the team's newest addition, adding fire power to a team that boasted WNBA All-Star guard Skylar Diggins, 2016 WNBA All-Rookie team player Aerial Powers, WNBA All-Defensive team player Glory Johnson and All-WNBA Peak Performer Courtney Paris. Lewis joins the Wings after steller seasons at Kansas State, where she was a 3-time All-Big12 performer, 3-time All-Big12 Defensive 1st team recipient, K-State All-time blocks leader and many other accolades. Breanna has trained hard with Coach Shaw to develop even more to her post and mid-range game and will definitely be a force to reckon with for the Wings! March Madness NIT National Champion Brandon Parrish invited to free agent workout with Dallas Mavericks
TCU Senior co-captain and College NIT National Champion Brandon Parrish has been selected to join for a free agent workout with the Dallas Mavericks. Parrish ended his career at TCU with most games played in the history of the program, never missing a game in his career with the university. Brandon has been training diligently with Coach Shaw in preparation for these workouts to prove that he has just what it takes to be a pro. With new weapons in his arsenal, look out on the scene for "BP" to be a Big Performer.
NAIA Champion & MVP of the NAIA Division I tournament Dion Rogers has been invited to free agent workouts with the Dallas Mavericks. At Texas Wesleyan University, Rogers not only led his Rams to the NAIA National Championship with a 20ppg average, but paced the Rams with a 28-point performance to seal the National Championship. Prior to Wesleyan, Rogers was a NJCAA All-American, leading Essex County College to the National Championship final, and 2 conference championships, where he was MVP of the conference as a sophomore. He has been working tirelessly with our ShawAttack coaches in preparation for his big shot. We want to congratulate, Dion on his electrifying performances as well as his selection to Mavs Free Agent camp. Go get 'em D.Rogers!
Ex-WNBA forward & Harlem Globetrotter Joyce Ekworomadu has hit the training trail hard, pacing and keeping herself poised for the chance for another WNBA stint. Ekworomadu, who also was a member of the Nigerian Women's National team, got back into the bball lab with the ShawAttack staff to refine that already high basketball I.Q, and as she gets game-ready, she will do what she has always done, which is carve up defenses, while giving the home crowd something to shout about.
